I have been taking my family here for about the last 2 1/2 to 3 yrs and has been nothing but a great experience from day 1! The customer service is great the atmosphere is wonderful. It's a kind of place that makes you welcomed like you are family. The food is great I always get the tenders which are always fulling with Mac and cheese which is really good with rice and beans! The sweet tea is always on point as it should be! I am always going to support a black business and that's what I have done at this establishment for the last 3 yrs will always continue to go back as long as the service stays this the same which I sure it will!

Went for some happy hour drinks and got to have a few bites of my friends Beef tips plate with creamy mac and cheese, sauteed cabbage and some sweet cornbread. Man it was good. I have to go back and get my own plate soon. The beef tips had a nice spice to it, mac andcheese was nice and creamy, cabbage sauteed with bacon and spread butter on that sweet cornbread. Give it a try if you stop there.

I've been in the restaurant business 19 years. Sometimes the food and service in Austin is hit or miss. Y'all's cafe gets 5 stars from me for the food and service. The waitress was professional, friendly and attentive. The food was packed with flavor great use of seasoning and spice. They aren't shy on portions either. Every thing I ate pleased my pallet. That's hard to accomplish. I hardly say this, but I will definitely be back. Great job "y'all".

If you're ever in the Austin this is a MUST TRY place. We've been 3 straight days and each time we have not been disappointed. The staff is amazing and the food was just as good. Best place hands down. Good food and service you can't go wrong.

Really happy to see that this place is slowly but surely becoming a lunch time favorite of folks around that neighborhood. The food is great, the serving sizes enormous, the service excellent. However, everything is at a relaxed pace ( it's new Orleans inspired) so don't go there if you want a rushed lunch. Strongly recommend.

Life changing food!!! To this day I dream about that catfish and sweet potato pie. I’m still wondering why they haven’t opened another location yet. But I will appreciate their hustle and cooking. When I tell you, you can taste the love, effort and passion they put in the food!!!! It’s crazy how good it is. I mean where can you find mashed potatoes 🗣THAT DOESN’T NEED GRAVY???!!! It’s pure sorcery and I will gladly go under their spell.

Very tasty food and great wait service from Justin! Ordered the chicken fried steak on Justin's suggestion and was very surprised. He said the flour was seasoned to give it a kick and he wasn't lying! It was one of the best tasting chicken fried steaks that I've ever tasted and I'm the guy that orders chicken fried steak at EVERY restaurant that says that it's their specialty! I wasn't expecting this at a New Orleans themed restaurant but I'm so glad that Justin suggested it. The cornbread was a little sweet and the greens were OK. He swore by their mac & cheese and it was OK but I like the homemade version with a little oven backed crispiness on the edges. Overall it was a cool little restaurant with live music on a Saturday night. If you like soul food, pay these guys a visit - you won't be sorry!
